Projects

I have a number of long term projects. Here are a few past, present and future.

Classic Animation: The goal of my company, Classic Animation is to evangelize the artform of animation. As time goes on, it will morph into many forms but will always have one goal - to Bring Art to Life.

Heritage Farms: A 45 acre development in Galesburg, Michigan that will be a multi-generational housing development to support the lifestyles of boomers to millenials. With many families today growing apart, Heritage Farms will be a community based on families supporting each other over many generations. Watch it grow!

KAFI. An outgrowth of ASIFA central and Classic Animation, the Kalamazoo Animation Festival International was brought to Kalamazoo Valley Community College as a way to bring a world class animation festival to the Midwest USA. When most large happenings are on the coasts or overseas, KAFI's mission to be a gathering place for midwest animators is growing with every festival and is now seen as one of the top 20 animation festivals in the world. While my work as director was cut short by college administration, I enthusiastically support its mission of showcasing the work of animators worldwide and provide a venue for new animation art. It will also provide a window into this world to the next generation of animation artists. With the generous support of the Gilmore Foundation, the ARCUS Foundation among others, and the hard work of many good people, KAFI will continue to succeed. The most exciting part of KAFI is the Cartoon Challenge, a four day 24 hour a day marathon of animation that I authored and developed with the support of KVCC. Link to KAFI at http://kafi.kvcc.edu
